Back from the dead...

Hi everyone, did you miss me? I keep saying I will keep us with this. And I drop the ball, every New Year! So, this year I gave up Facebook for Lent. I thought it wouldn't be so hard but I miss keeping up with people I don't see on a normal basis. And those that I do, may be getting sick of my texts updates.

So, here we are Spring Break 2017. My husband finally got his wish to take the family on a ski vacation. So many stories leading up to this point but we are at the beautiful Solitude Resort in Utah. My kids are LOVING the snow. We have thrown many snowballs, posed for pictures with little snowmen, got fitted for skis, endured a few tantrums, and went to bed early in preparation for our big Ski Day 1.

Well, mommy woke up with a splitting headache that made anything else but sleep impossible. After MUCH ado about everything, my husband and sister got the kids out the door and in their ski gear and off to ski school. I stayed in bed and took it easy, ate a little something and was starting to feel better. I decided to meet them at the lodge for lunch. Everything was looking good until I walked into the lodge and it felt like it was heated to 80 degrees. Stomach starts to drop. We go through the crowded stuffy line. We snake through the crowded dining room to our table...that is next to the fireplace. Did I mention how much it felt like a furnace when I walked in? This was starting to feel like a bad joke.

My kids were tired with a capital T. Nico and Rina were crying over having to share an order of mac and cheese. Livvy is showing off her new sunglasses. Then, my sweet Mia offered me one of her French fries. I ate it but seconds later I had to hightail it to the bathroom and I hear my sassafras 5 year old telling me she doesn't like me. Puke #1. I return to the table and drink my smoothie, thinking the worst is behind me. Nope. About 10 minutes later, I have to go back and serious puke fest #2. It rivaled the awful morning sickness I had when pregnant. I am sorry for all those that entered and exited while I was in there. My sweet Mia came to check on me while I was coming out of the stall.

Needless to say, I returned to the lodge. Weepy Nico and sweet Mia accompanied me. My sassy Rina and Livvy wanted to stay and ski. I am so glad they are taking to it and having fun. I took 2 Advil, continued to drink water like it's going out of style, and went back to bed. Tomorrow is a new day.

Can't add pictures to this blog from this phone. Trying to figure out. I promise, pictures to come.
